The Jersey Water Polo Association
Water polo in Jersey has a sketchy history, being an island the local population is teaming with competent swimmers so I'm sure water polo would have been a natural entertainer during the warm summers.

Havre Des Pas I believe is one of the oldest sea pools in Britain thus swimming and water polo have possibly been present on the island for many a year! The JWPA was foundered in 1971, and during the 70's the island enjoyed a wealth of success and I'm told the island team went unbeaten for 4 years! The club continued to flourish until the late 90's the ballgrabber is the infamous one hit wonder JWPA newsletter from 1991. Interest lagged after Guernsey stopped playing water polo which meant competitive water polo games were now few and far between. Currently the club is on an upward spiral, after 2 unsuccessfull but educational seasons in the UK National League in 2004 and 2005. We were unable to continue in the NL but in the newly formed South East League Jersey ended runners up in 2007.
